No lives lost, no lives changed

In 2017 and 2018, Lafarge Canada Inc. GCA (Greater Calgary Area) Pits and Quarries, Alberta Operations worked a total of 457,000 hours with no recordable injuries in the period.

In 2020, CIM’s Safety Committee was established as CIM’s 11th technical society under a new name, the Health & Safety Society (HSS). Its mission is to support Canadian leadership in mining safety and health expertise, and to provide a repository for related best practices reference material. With this week’s focus on safety, we offer a list of resources to help support the society’s goal of of zero harm to people (i.e. no lives lost, no lives changed).
